Biopsy results
Hi everyone. Just wanted to update you that I got the results of my thyroid biopsy today. I have papillary thyroid carcinoma, as they suspected. The doctor says it is "curable" and I should be fine. I will have surgery to remove my thyroid and nearby lymph nodes, followed by a radiation pill treatment. No chemo.
I am still pretty shocked that I have cancer, but I am doing all right otherwise. Please, nothing on Facebook yet, as I want to keep the news within friends and family at least today. I will probably say something about it on FB soon, which seems like sort of a weird thing to say on FB, but it's the easiest way to communicate to a large number of people quickly.
I appreciate all the support and offers of help last week when I posted about having the biopsy, and I'll keep you guys updated.

BFP with no treatment!
Oh my goodness...I was so hoping you would get better results. I hate that you have to go through this.
I didn't get to post on your original thread...but I wanted to let you know that I have had a thyroidectomy for suspected thyroid cancer. It turned out to be benign, but having been through the surgery you are about to go through, I have a few tips for you.

I am so sorry you have to deal with this. But I am very glad that it is treatable.

Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
I am so sorry you got these results but so glad it should be treatable without chemo. I hope everything goes smoothly and quickly. Sending thoughts and prayers your way.
Oh, hon! That is not the news I was hoping for. (((hugs)))) that must have been very hard to hear.
I can't remember if I posted this before or not, but my mom had the same. She didn't end up needing the pill & has been cancer free for almost 10 years.
Please keep us posted & let us know if there is anything we can do!
I am so sorry. I just wanted to share that my aunt had the same thing last year, same treatment, and she is doing great. I am sure it is scary. GL and lots of hugs sent your way!
