Foundd: a chair and a half glider!

I'm so excited! I've been looking all over for a glider big enough to accomodate myself and a double nursing pillow. I must have sat in 2 dozen kinds of chairs. Today one of the furniture stores I visited actually has a new item from Little Castle: a chair and half glider. Its very comfortable and big enough to easily fit a double nursing pillow, or two people so both my husband and I can fit.

The only downside that I am not crazy about is the fact that they haven't yet made an ottoman that's really wide enough, so you have to either stick with the normal-sized glider ottoman or just get a stationary ottoman somewhere.

  • Sweet!! I didn't even know they made those.

Hope you find an ottoman that works!

  • Where did you find it and how much?

  • have you considered an oversized rocker/recliner? We have one in DS's room and it is GREAT!!!

It's so comfy- which is key b/c we have both had to sleep in there many times (i used it at the end of my pregnancy, too, when i had trouble sleeping in bed).

I highly recommend something you can sleep in for those nights you need to/want to sleep in the nursery.

the one we have will easily accomodate nursing twins - it's freakin huge :)

  • A comfy chair for feeding is key.  We have a free (ugly) recliner that my aunt gave us when I was super preggo and had a hard time getting out of chairs.  We use that (ugly) thing to death!

  • I know, I couldn't agree  more. I figure I'll be spending a LOT of time in this chair, and I wanted something that I could fit a double nursing pillow in, or that DH could share with me. With an ottoman, its comfy enough to sleep in.

Ourstorey: its the Little Castle and I found it at a USA Baby store. They quoted me $829, the ottoman is between $200 and $350 depending on the size and whether you want it to swivel as well as glide. I know its more expensive than a regular glider but I figure I'll have it for a long time. Its something I can use in the living room as well someday.
