It's been about 3.5 months since my c-section and my stomach area is numb from my belly button to my inscision, will this ever go away? It's kind of weird, I don't like it.
Over 2 years later, my stomach is still numb. My doctor said it sometimes goes away but for most it doesn't. I hated it in the beginning! But I barely notice it anymore.
My OB said it goes away for some and not for others, and the extent that it goes away is different for everyone. She said she had a c/s 10+ yrs ago and still has a small spot that is numb, but most of the feeling came back.

I am 20 months out from my first c/s and I still have numbness. For me though it has not gotten smaller it has stayed the same but gotten less noticeable.
I have had 3 c-sections...my last just a little over 2 years ago, and I am now pregnant again. Honestly, the area that is numb has grown with each c-section. I now have a pretty large area of my lower abdomen that is numb. It makes me nervous for c-section #4. I know it is common, but it does bother me. Some may get used to it, but I haven't. I hope to one day have a tummy tuck and lose the area that is numb!

Re: numbness in tummy after c-section?
For me the numbness got to be a smaller area. But my 1st DS is 4 and I still have it. It isn't that noticeable anymore though.
