As luck would have it... re: Charity Walk

If you saw my post below, you know I was conflicted with whether or not I should still do an 8-mile charity walk I had signed up for even though it falls on day 9 of my 2ww.

Thank you all for your input!  I had decided I would tell my friends I couldn't make the walk after all when lo and behold, what came in the mail?  An invitation to my good friend's bridal shower for the same day as the walk!  I didn't have to come up with an excuse to use - I was given the perfect one!

Thanks again for your input though - as always, I appreciate it!

    how's your de-tox going?

My detox went really well.  Total weight loss was 10.8 pounds which I was thirlled with.

    However....

I'm technically able to introduce carbs and sugar back into my diet and although I've kept them both at a minimum (almost NO sugar and very, very few carbs), I've gained back a half pound.  I know it's not the end of the world and if I just stepped up my exercise, I'll lose it again quickly, but I was just so surprised how quickly a half pound came back after only one week of carbs again!  Plus, the first day after the detox was complete, I started BCPs for my upcoming cycle, so the odds are stacked against me.  Grrrrr.

    But, thank you for asking!
