To Start BCPs or Chance It?

What would you do?

Today is CD-1. To do my IVF cycle in June, I have to start my next cycle at the latest by May 20, 47 days from now, and then start BCPs. My cycles are generally 32-38 days long with the longest ever in 2 years being 42 days. This cycle was 36 days long. I really hate being on BCPs and I don't want to be suppressed for 2 months! I would really love to do this cycle natural and feel like a normal person, but I would be taking the chance of an even longer cycle delaying me another month and then being on BCPs longer anyway.

I am also getting an HSG done on CD12 of this cycle. Is it possible that may make this cycle longer or shorter?

I don't want to get delayed, but I want to feel like a normal person for as long as possible. What do you all think?

I would have another natural cycle and then start BCP.

I've had this quandary many times.  If it were me, I would do the bcp because I don't trust my body and I would want to know the dates would happen the way I want.

I'd chance it... 47 days gives you 5 extra days from your longest cycle.  The cycle I had my HSG was normal length.

For me, the stress of wondering if my body will corporate would probably delay my cycle.  I wouldn?t want the added stress.

I'm DOR, so that factors into my answer. I currently have the same dilemma. I know I can fit one more cycle in, but my nurse wants me to start BCPs at the start of the next cycle. I do NOT want to oversuppress.
