    LOVE... wanted to use this for DS, but we ended up going with Sebastian Jude instead.

    It's okay.  It seems a little trendy to me.

    It also reminds me of Jasper Jax from General Hospital and I think there's a Cullen named Jasper in Twilight.  I stay far, far away from Twilight names.

    Jasper is a beautiful national park in Western Canada.  So it makes me think of that.  I guess if I ever named a baby after a place, I would like Jasper.

    I don't hate it, it's just hard for me to see it on a boy/man... though I've never met one, so maybe that's why!

    It just sounds too "sharp" to me if that makes sense...

    Its okay, but its also the name of a town near where I grew up, so I am not too into it as a name.

    My 3 yro is Jasper, we've only had 1 person ask us if we named him after twilight (we didn't) it suits him perfectly and we have yet to meet another!

    DH and I really like the name Jasper, and it's been on our 'list' since we were pregnant with #1, but haven't loved it enough to use it (now that we're on boy #2). Also, to be honest, I probably wouldn't use it now, thanks to Twilight :(

    I posted the other day about seeing a birth announcement for a female Jasper. It is definitely a boy name to me!

    I know someone named Jasper (mid-twenties, so he predated Twilight). He's super nice and friendly (also pretty cute) so I have good connotations with the name. Still, it's hard for me to imagine it fitting just anyone...
