Am I the only one who thought that there were a lot of babies with 2 middle names? And also surprised about the amount of babies born into 2+ kids families? I personally want a ton of kids, just thought that was unusal, since the average is 2, right?
Thanks for posting. I love checking out Nameberry for ideas/inspiration (and the occasional... whoa, that's a name??? ). I don't think it's 100% representative of the general population and all the trends though, but still a great read!

Just checked, since the 2000 census, the average American family has 3.14 children. Of course, not all of the names on the list will be from Amercian families.
ETA: 3.14 is the average # of family members. Average # of children was 1.86.
Dang, some of those people have a lot of kids! And not just the triplet momma! I wonder if they are having babies just so they can use up all their favorite names?
Is it just me or did anyone else feel like a lot of those names were trying too hard to be hip?
Ohhhhh yeah, I got the same feeling. I liked a LOT of the names on the list, but I do feel like some were chosen for "cool points." Still, I'd rather see kids named Odessa and Alastair than Mikayla and Braedon.

YES!
I cannot imagine naming my baby Zelda. I know I'm a product of the 80's and really loved playing Nintendo, but come on.
Nancy James 9.1.12
Calvin Donald 8.27.14
Zelda will be my DD's name.
