TTC after 35

FF is annoying me...

I have ovulated on CD14 or CD17 (all but one or two months out of the past 6 have been CD17) since I started charting with FF.

Every stinking cycle, though, they put my predicted O date as CD12.

Why? Why would they do that? I have NEVER O'd that early, as far as they know.

I have enough pressure on me as it is; I certainly don't need an internet site telling me I should be ovulating earlier than I am or putting expectations on me. Jerks.

(And yes, I am 100% aware that in the grand scheme of things, this is totally unimportant and not really worth getting my panties in a bunch over, but the waiting to ovulate thing gets old fast, as well you know...)

Re: FF is annoying me...

  • I am by no means a FF expert but I also think it is weird that they have your O date so early when they have no previous information to base it on.  How frustrating!

I agree. It is weird.  Can you link your chart?  Give us other ladies waiting to O something to stalk ;)

    Alright. That didn't work...

    Let me try something else...

  • Why do you have so many open circles on your chart.  That could be throwing FF off so it can't really predict O well.
    BFP on IVF #2 6/29/2012. Beta #1 7/3 = 522; Beta #2 = 1180; Beta #3 = 6491 image BabyFruit Ticker
  • No problem if you don't want to keep it in your siggy.

I don't see where it predicts O on CD12, but that may be on your personal home page. And Country Girl is right...lots of open circles can make it harder for FF calculate an accurate O date.

LOL This happened to me last month!  I had the same reaction.  But mostly because I was trying to figure out how to keep the BDing going for the 8 days of predicted ovulation!!!!

For Freak Sake... I love my husband but I girl gets a little tired. LOL

  • My open circles are because I work the night shift. I work 2-4 nights in a row and then have a ton off. So my sleep cycle shifts. Every temp, however, is after a full "night's" sleep (i.e. 5-7 hours).

And I have plenty of other very good O signs-- like + OPKs, W CM, etc.

It shows on my calendar above the chart (which I don't think you guys see).

Of course, I'm starting to get some lines on my OPKs already (usually I get 'em a couple days before I O, not this early), so maybe I'm going to O early this month??

  • You're right, your other signs are very consistent despite the open circles from working night shift.

Are you talking about those green shaded days on the calendar? Mine are shaded green from CD12 - CD19 for this cycle and I have typically o'd around CD19 in the past.

Also, sounds like you'll have a good weekend with opks getting darker.  have fun :)

  • For me it shows it predicting CD 14-16 for you... but of course, that could be because it shifted since you first posted. :D

LOL  I was *just* posting to say that FF had since switched my day to CD 14!

I guess I should stop following FF and use it only as a recording tool so that I have info to bring to my doc...

  • I've used it to help me predict, too, but I have taken to ignoring it pretty fully. If I temped I might be more interested in its predictions but since I use monitors/opks with it, it can't really do anything for me other than guess on previous cycle info, and I'm not regular enough with my O dates for that to work.  :D

    GL to you!
