Toddlers: 24 Months+

Moms of 2+ recommend your double stroller :)

Please recommend your double stroller. Pros/cons of a Sit N Stand - the only problem I see is DD will be almost 3 and she still may want to relax/nap a little bit if we're going to be going for a long walk, but I've heard double joggers are really hard to transport and steer. I need some recommendations, thanks!

  • We went with a (used) Sit N Stand, and love it.  It doesn't HAVE to be made into a SIS; it has a backseat and can be used as a reg. double stroller.

  • We just got the joovy caboose ultralight double. It's a sit and stand and so far I really love it.

  • We were bought a Kolcraft tandum double when #2 was born.  I HATED IT.  We used it a few months and sold it.  I am really not a stroller Mom and never used it except for walks and it sucked for walks.

We have an In-Step Double Jogger.  I use this for walks, to get Alex from school (then all 3 sit on it on the way home) and for going for runs.

We bought a used Baby Trend Sit & Stand before #3 was born.  I LOVED that stroller.  I had a friend who wanted/needed it and I sold it to her in the fall.  I regret it honestly because for mall walking I need to take the jogger which bearly fits in the Target bathrooms.  The SNS was awesome while Dylan was still in the infant carrier so I didn't have to disturb her.  I could also sit both my girls on the bench initially.

We have this too. The storage underneath is smaller than most travel strollers, however, it has hidden pockets everywhere!

  • I have the Baby Trend Sit 'n Stand.  We are using the second seat right now, but when DD#1 is older we will take that off.  I liked the price, but it is a bit big and hard to steer.  I don't dislike it, but it isn't the greatest out there.  I don't use a stroller all that often so I didn't want to spend a lot on one, so this works.

  • We have two. We have the Joovy Ultralight which we use most of the time when we're out and about. I like it a lot more than I thought I would! Pretty easy to steer, light, and DS loves that he can hop on and off. We also have a Bumbleride Indie Twin as our jogging/hiking/longer day trip stroller. I love it but it's a beast - very heavy and not easy at all to get in and out of the car.

All double strollers are harder to steer than a single stroller.

Not necessarily. When DD was born we bought a BumbleRide Indie Twin and loved it way more (including it's smooth ride and steering) than our single Graco. It's a great double stroller, but is a bit of an investment, so I'm not sure I'd get it with a 3 year old LO (b/c they may not use it very often or for long), unless you plan to have a #3 and can use it with #2 and 3.

  • We just bought a City Mini Double.  We haven't used it yet, but it has great reviews (which is why we bought it).  It seems like it manuvers pretty well, and isn't very heavy or bulky.

  • The one I used the most was my Maclaren Twin Triumph~ too bad they are going bankurpt.

I had a Graco DuoGlider but only used that when I had an infant.  I hate how long it was.  It was like a boat.

I also have a double bob (runner) but found I don't really run much with it though it is a dream to push--it is also very bulky

  • We have a Phil & Ted's.  It easily converts to a single and has the profile (width wise) of a single jogging stroller.  Steers pretty smoothly thanks to the big wheels.  It is on the heavier side, but it's manageable.

  • Ditto the Phil & Ted. I've only been using mine for 6 weeks, but I love it. I especially love that it can be used as a single and all I have to do is pop the 2nd seat off. We have an attachment for it so I can use my graco infant carrier with it too.

When DD2 was born, DD1 had just turned 2.  I went ahead and got the Graco double stroller.  It was nice for about 6 months, but then DD1 got to where she never really wanted to stay in it.  I finally decided that I needed something easier and smaller, so we recently got the Joovy Caboose Ultralight.  I LOVE it.  We just did a weekend trip with it and I really can't rave about it enough.  We bought ours on Craigslist and I got a really good deal on it.

Like someone else mentioned, it doesn't have great storage, but it works for us.  I also hooked one of those large "Mommy Hooks" on the handle and that really helps.

  • I bought 3 strollers all new before deciding on one!

First I bought a Valco.  It was HUGE and I sent it back.  Wow huge!

Then I bought a City Mini but the basket really was unusable and I felt like I was pushing an empty stroller too often.

Next I bought the City Select.  It rocks.  It stores easily and can be either a single or a double as needed trivially!  I love, love, love that feature.  I don't have to decide if I want a single or a double until we get out of the car.  It can be either!  Also I can have the seats in many different configurations which is really cool.

I had bought a sit and stand and I still have it but I'm going to go ahead and sell it.  I don't care for it and for longer events where my toddler would actually want to ride for awhile it would kinda suck as she couldn't lean back any and couldn't see forward while riding.
