How many prizes should I have for bingo?

Hi Everyone! The only game we are playing is Baby Bingo at the shower.  We are having 56 people. How many prizes do you think we should have? My mom said that she doesnt want to announce about "only winning one time" because she thinks that is tacky. We have 40 prizes right now. They are full size soaps and then travel size lotion and shower gel from Bath and Body.  Do you think we need more? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!!!!

You don't actually play 40 games of Bingo. The game keeps going on until the gifts are all opened or you run out of prizes.

I was going to say 5 prizes are plenty.  You probably will not use all 40.  I had over 75 people at my wedding shower and 5 prizes were plenty.  Most people stop playing once they win once.

omgggggg your going to keep playing until all 40 are given out?! You might as well just make it 56 so you're not leaving out just 16 people.  I think this seems more than a little ridiculous.  10 prizes would have been MORE than enough-- who really wants to sit through 40 prizes?! lame.

That is a ton of prizes.  I'd just get  few more and give them out as favors.

I was at a shower this past weekend and they played bingo.  They had about 10-15 prizes and when they were out the game part was just over.  No one seemed to mind that it didnt last the whole time the gift opening did.  I will say that there were times when several people had bingo at once.  I think you have plenty!!
