Hello!

I'm back after a long hiatus.  I needed to just walk away from all this for a few months.  The 2nd loss was harder than the first for lots of reasons. 

I am glad to see some familiar names.  Hope you are all well.

 Anyway, recently we went to the infertility Doctor and had testing.  According to the results, my hormone levels are normal and encouraging, my ovaries and other anotomy are normal with no complications other than the fact that I am 41 and so are my eggs.  He said that essentially, my problem is that my pool of potential eggs quality has decreased with age and so there is nothing really they can offer me other than assistance with attempting to conceive with a donor egg.   

We are disapointed, I always hoped that there would be the options.  It seems a bit extreme to jump from just trying to time the BD correctly each cyle to implanting some other womans fertilized egg in my womb. 

Has anyone else been told that there is not fertility treatment options that would increase the chance of a succesful pregnancy other than a donor egg?

So sorry for your losses.  Good luck with your future treatments.

That being said, I don't want this to come off as snarky, but I think you have the wrong board.  6+ is for women who have been active on TTCAL for 6+ months, not just TTCAL for 6+ months.  I can see from your PPs you have not posted much on TTCAL so I encourage you to make an intro and get to know the ladies.  Since so many of us had been posting on TTCAL for nearly a year or more, this is a tighter group of ladies and nobody is a stranger, KWIM?

To clarify, I am not in treatmeant, and according to the Fertility Dr I saw they can't offer me any outside of a donor egg.  I was hoping to hear more of other experiences and find out if there was something else I might request they look inot further.  

 

It's been 11 months, and 2 misscarriages since Trying to concieve after a loss.  I was active previously on TTCAL, but not as I said recently because I need a bump break.  

 

I posted these same questions on ttc after 35, someone suggestedI try here.  

 

But if you still think I'm not the right place let me know.

I'm sorry to hear you're looking at only one option for treatment.

As far as the board goes, I'm not the internet police  I just don't recognize you is all, but I'm just one person.

Hi - I'm sorry for your loss and for the feedback from your doctor.  With that being said, you may want to try ttcal.  That is a far more active board and you will likely get more results/advice.  The IF board may have more insights into different types of treatment options too.  GL

Just want to add that I totally recognize you from my days lurking on the December 2011 board. We got our BFPs at the same time and our losses were just a week apart. I'd love to have you join us on the TTCAL board where you would be welcomed with open arms. I don't know about you, but the lead up to my BFP and loss  anniversaries totally sucks. I'm so sorry for everything you are going through.
