Do you mean during tummy time, on your chest, when in a sitting position, other?
DD has been holding her head up during all those except tummy time for many weeks. Tummy time head holding was really "perfected" in the last 2-3 weeks.
He's been holding his head up while sitting him up for a while now. He only first held his head up during tummy time less than a week ago, and he won't even try when he's fussy.
Sorry ladies I wasn't clear but I meant when sitting up. She'll do it for a while but then it falls forward or backwards so not 100% stable. Luckily shes been holding her head up while on my chest and during tummy time since she was about two weeks old. She also literally rolled from a flat on her tummy position to flat on her back when she was three weeks. I never would have belived it if I didn't see it! I'm just waiting for her to have full control of her head!

My guess is soon. Usually 2-3 months old. My dd has good side to side control, but still flops backwards or forwards some. She can hold it up during tummy time and on us, but not while sitting.
