Good luck to you two! I hope yours isn't as bad as mine =( If you can, I'd take the day off. I had to come straight back to work and would kill to just be curled up in my couch. Cramping and bleeding a bit now. But the worst is over.

  • Mine was this morning and I would take anything over that again! I had to go back to work to and all I want to is crawl into bed with a heating pad. I am alittle concerned since my RE nurse wants me to drop of the CD with her today and I never got one. And the doctor who did the test said that my right side went way slower than my left but said nothing else. Atleast its over with but still nervous about the results.

Mine was a little painful too, but I took some Ibuprofen about an hour before it and was feeling fine about 2 hours after.  Good Luck to you both!!

  • Update: just back.  It was fine.  They had to insert the speculum three times before deciding to use a different sized one.  That part was the worst.  My legs were shaking on the table - why are there no stirrups?  But everything looked good.  Die went in and out.  No fibroid, polyps, etc.  A little bleeding now.  Time for bed.
  • Now Im scared to have mine.  Maybe I will have my mom drive me.  Im sorry about your experience.  I totally vote for wine therapy!

  • Wow, it must have been HSG day!

I had mine as well, my Re said everything looked fine aside from my uterus being a little misshapen (she said it's no big deal though, phew!) It did hurt quite a bit during, but I took tylenol 3 and Ibuprofen about a half hour before so it wasn't too bad after it was all done!

  • Mine went really well, but wow that was painful! I couldn't wait for it to be over. My doctor told me she thought I was brave to try it without valium. But it was all clear and I took the rest of the day off afterwards. So glad things are moving forward now!
