34week app. today

i leave in a little while for my 34 week appointment not sure what to expect. i know it could be a regular check up or i could start getting examined along with the normal stuff. i do have questions  what position the LO is in she has been moveing non stop discuss birth control options and labor plans...i want to go all natural but that could change.

It completely depends on your doctor. I've seen posts of some starting at 35 weeks while mine doesn't start internals until 36 weeks (which is today's appointment for me).

Fortunately, my office gives me a list of what to expect at every appointment for my entire pregnancy and always goes over what is happening at my next appointment. It has been nice to be well informed!

at 34 weeks I just had a normal check up, no pelvic exam. I didn't start the pelvic exam until last week. Again it all depends on your doctor. He/She may be able to tell if the baby is head down or not though may not check until another week or so.

I'm also 34 weeks and have a doctor's exam and she informed me I will be getting a pelvic exam also but this is precautionary because I have had a leep procedure in the past due to abnormal cells. She says that sometimes this procedure can thin out your lining and cause you to dialate early but if I hadn't had that procedure she wouldn't be conducting the pelvic so early.
