I keep watching movie credits like I never have before long lists of real names is more helpful to me than looking in a name book all day.
I know my name is certainly not a popular choice on this board and in fact, when looking for a name for DD1 I posted it wondering what people would say if I chose it for my daughter and it was deemed redneck name of the year! Lol. I love my name and only one when I was a kid thought to change it to something "beautiful" like Rose. Lol
But my name is Maranda
Whats yours? Share your middle too if you are up for it.
Re: So what's YOUR first name?
Elizabeth Anne
I hated it growing up, but love it now.
Aimee.
Kimberly Dawn
Very traditional but I've always liked my name.
Abigail Elizabeth, nn "Abbie"
Michelle Caroline -- had 1 other Michelle in my class but she went by Missy. I've been called Melissa more times than I can count

Jan 15 NOV siggy challenge:
Robin Sue
LOL I always hated it growing up cause everyone always had to sing rockin robin. Now it's Fly Robin Fly. It was all because dad was so upset that I wasn't Robert Jr. and mom refused to name me Roberta so I got Robin. I was supposed to be Melissa. My middle name is my godmothers first same well Susan but Robin Susan sounded funny to my mom.
Sarah Jane
Lisa Michelle
I always hated not having a nickname but other than that, I like it.

P/SAIF Welcome
I love it too! :-) (See siggie.)
Mine is Jennifer Lee. Standard, haha. My twin got Meredith Adele. She wins.
Natasha.
MN is a flower and I hate it. Cornelia.
Chasity Rose.
Not Chastity, not Charity, not Christy, not Chelsea.
It's not spelled Chasidee, Chasedy, Chasty, Chassity, Chasitie etc.
I like it now, but growing up it was a pain. Even now no one hears it right, spells it right, and half the time remember it right for months. I'm just used to it now. I think it souds pretty, has a nice meaning, but nothing I'd recommend.
Lauren
I always get Laura, Laurie, Lori, or Loraine. And for some reason people who do pronounce it correctly spell it Loren, the male way. I like my name though, just can be annoying when pronounced wrong and it seems like such a simple name.
Really Maranda was deemed redneck name of the year???
Miranda (spelled like that) is on my list! Hey, Shakespeare liked it!
My name is Sarah. I love the name; I just happen to share it with most women my age, which I hope to avoid for my child.
Laura Marie
Didn't care for it as a child, but I love it now. When I introduce myself, people sometimes call me Lauren which is annoying though.
Dana Elizabeth. I was Dana outside and Elizabeth or Betty or Betsy at home. I hate my first name because its unisex. Also, my parents hate it, long story, so I've always been more comfy with Elizabeth or Betsy.
My name is Risa Chai (my middle name is after my grandfather Chaim).
I love having an unusual name--even though I have to explain it to people multiple times a day!
My brother is Max Izak (mn pronounced IT-sock; a variant of Isaac).
My first name and my brother's middle both mean laughter. My dad was a sitcom writer when I was growing up.
I am good friends with a Katherine Louise "Katie" (today is her b-day). Love your name!!
Belinda Michelle
I've always loved my name.
I'm Elizabeth Jean. Both are family names.
I've always loved my name because of the women I'm named after.
Elizabeth is both grandmother's names and my Mom's MN. Jean is my maternal great grandmother.
Julia
No nn for me as I can't stand being called Julie.
