(not) Perfect timing....

After perfectly TI last month, I was a little hopeful.....then today I start my dreaded period.  Moments after coming back to my desk from the bathroom, I look down at my phone, and my friend had texted me a pic of her first ultra sound.  There, staring back at me, is this picture of a beautiful little baby.  My heart sunk.  What crappy timing.  Thrilled for her, sad for me.  Oh well....just made my appointment for HSG next week, which will be followed by our first IUI attempt.  Something to look forward to I guess.

DH Vasectomy reversal 06/28/11; Started TTC July 2011; FSH test = normal; Progesterone = normal; Semen analysis shows low count, low morph, and low motility....HSG planned for April followed by IUI image

    Aww I'm sorry. Big hugs. I swear sometimes the stars align to get an ultrasound photo or pregnancy announcement at the worst time! I found out I had Diminished Ovarian Reserve from my RE nurse about 5 minutes before my sister in law texted me "It's a Boy!" I cried so freakin' hard. Hopefully this next cycle will be it for you!

     Me: POF/DOR - AMH <0.16, heterozygous c677t MTHFR, insulin resistant and gluten intolerant
     DH: Severe MFI

     12/2/11 - IUI #1- BFN 
    8/1/12 - IVF #1 - Zero response from max stims (600iu intramuscularly)
    My ovaries are just for decoration

     12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!
     2/11/13 - DEmbryo FET #1 Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts. 
     2/16/13 - First BFP of my life @ 6dp5dt! EDD 10/30/13
     3/27/13 - After beta and u/s hell, no heartbeat ever detected. D&C at 9w1d.

    6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!      
    9/12/13 - DEmbryo FET #2. Thawed and transferred two beautiful blasts
    9/17/13 - BFP @ 5dp6dt! EDD 05/31/14
     9/29/13 - m/c @ 5w1d. :(

    11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!
     11/23/13 - BFP @ 4dp6dt! EDD 8/7/13
    Beta #1 @ 13dp6dt - 522  Beta #2 @ 16dp6dt - 1373 
    6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!

    Snowflake baby is a girl! 
    Our beautiful Snowflake girl arrived on July 22, 2014!

    I'm so sorry!  That's a rough one!  Timing really is a $itch sometimes.

    I have definitely been there!  It's the strangest feeling to be so happy for your friends, but sad for your situation.  Good luck with your hsg and iui!!!

    I agree! This is exactly how I feel whenever someone that I love gets a BFP. Its something I could have never imagined had I not faced IF.

    So sorry about the BFN and the timing of the announcement. It is perfectly normal to feel sad for yourself. Indulge in a guilty pleasure tonight (chocolate, wine, pedi maybe). ((hugs))

    I'm so sorry. That is terrible timing.  At least you have a plan in place for this next cycle and hopefully the outcome will be different.  Good luck.

    Ooof that's bad timing, I'm so sorry! It's nice to having something to look forward to though, I hope your HSG and first IUI go well! =)

    I'm so sorry you were broadsided by the photo text. Good luck with your HSG and your upcoming IUI. It's definitely something to look forward to and I hope it brings you success quickly.
