He has a rare congenital defect called a patent ura.cus. Something that happened very early on in his embryonic development causing an opening to remain between his bladder and umbilicus. It can cause recurrent infections, uti's, and cancer, so as soon as we get this infection under control, he'll have to have surgery in Memphis to repair it. Still waiting on the cultures, and they just did another bladder and kidney u/s to make sure nothing else is wrong, but hoping that this is all we're dealing with. I'm starting to think we must have something genetic that's causing these defects in our boys. Very weird, but so glad it can be fixed easily! Thank you for the T&P's, ladies.
