I am deciding to do an intro. 

I'm Christy, I'm 22 and I'm pregnant with my first baby, who is due in mid-October. I haven't had my first ultrasound yet (I will on the 10th!), but my husband and I are going to find out the gender at a later u/s, and we are thinking about names right now.

So far, on the list, we have two names for each gender:

Boys: Asa Scott L the second (naming after my husband's dad)
OR
Michael Scott L

Girls: Eden Marie L
OR
Emmalynn Marie L

I like Asa and Eden, but my husband likes Michael and Emmalynn.  

ETA: Oh! Also, I would like it if some of you ladies did intros! Please? Especially the person who has Rhett or Pearl as her name choices and has a picture of Pearl from Spongebob? (Sorry I can't remember your name!)

I really don't recommend naming your child Michael Scott. Watch The Office. The name's bascially synonymous with idiocy and ignorance in our culture. However, Michael is a much nicer name than Asa.

Eden by a mile. Though I'd consider a vote for Emmeline if you spelled it correctly.

When I hear Michael and Emmaline together i think of the Holden family on Army wives.

I like Michael and Eden.

To all of you who automatically think of The Office: 

I totally forgot to say that I know the connection and that I am totally fine with it. I watched The Office when it was still good, and I love Steve Carell and I count it as a bonus.

Also, Scott would be his middle name (after my husband's, my FIL's, and my FIL's father's middle names. It's a tradition), and we would just call him Michael. But I do like Asa more than Michael.

I'm going to vote for Asa, it seems refreshing to me, although I love Michael.

I prefer the name Emmaline Marie.

Haha this! I like the uniqueness of Asa & since you have a tie to the name it's a great way to use it. I also prefer Eden although it's NMS with the obvious biblical reference.

I sort of like Asa. He was a bad guy on One Life to Live when I watched it in the late 90s.

Hmmm Eden seems alright to me. NMS but a nice name.

I actually like Asa and find it refreshing.

Michael is in essence a nice name, but I find it to be sooooo overdone.

I prefer Eden to Emmalynn.
