Need carrier rec for a short girl with limited coordination

I never used a carrier with my other two kids. I'm not very coordinated and know I'd never get all the tying down right or get the baby in safely. But I'm in desperate need of help. My dd only wants to be held. She cries for hours at night if we aren't walking the floor. So in the interest of my sanity I need a carrier. I'm only 4ft11 so I'm not sure how that factors in. So I need something VERY easy to use and short people friendly. TIA!!

  • I really like my ring sling and mei tai carriers. Both should fit a smaller person well - you can roll up a mei tai body to make it shorter if needed. I like my Ergo, but you'd probably be too small and it tends to be uncomfortable if it doesn't fit right.

The ring sling is simpler than the mei tai (there is some wrapping and tying of the straps, but it's pretty straightforward), but it's one shouldered which gets tiring faster.

  • I'm the same height. I love my ring sling, Moby& wish I had a Beco! Your LO might like the moby or another wrap because dhe'll be all wrapped close to you. I've had many nights & days like that's and baby wearing saved my life :)
