unexpected turn of events (pregnancy warning)

Firstly I just want to thank everyone here for how much support I received after finding out that I was miscarrying last week. It was so much appreciated! You all said all the right things and were so helpful! Also you ladies gave me a lot to think about and a lot of encouragement.

So in light of this, I did want to share with you that I went back to the doc today to do a follow up, to see how I was doing with everything, and they found a fetus with a heartbeat. Not sure how, since there was nothing in the sac last week. But we are very much in shock.

I've never heard of this happening before. But I just wanted to thank you for your support and also share some good news. :-)

Great news.... but you may want to edit and put a pregnancy warning in your title ( if you can edit the title- I am not sure)- but I am happy that your bad news changed to good news- and I hope you dont ever have to come back here again ( no one should ever have to come to this board once- let alone a return visit!!!!)

Congrats!  That is amazing and exciting, and the outcome I wished I could have experienced.  I'm very happy for you.  I hope you have a very H&H 9 months ahead of you.

Yes I had some light bleeding then spotting and then passed some clots (sorry if TMI). I don't know about levels, for as far as I know, they didn't check them. Once he did the ultrasound last week, he decided there was no need for bloodwork. It looked like a pretty done deal. He didn't even turn on the screen for me to see the ultrasound when I came in this week.

Thanks!! I hope I never have to be here again either, but I know that if I do, that this is a supportive place. I will keep you ladies in my T&P and hope that you are blessed in the same way you all blessed me, and even more so.

To the OP- dont be discouraged with the negativity you have received today- these bump boards are still very much support boards filled with those who are open to any and all news from people.... your news good or bad is very much welcome.... Heres hoping you have a happy and healthy 9 months!!!

You should really consider finding a new OB - one that tells you you are miscarrying without heavy bleeding, and solely relying on your LMP is NOT a good doctor. good luck.

Well I am happy for you!  I can say going through a miscarriage has been the single hardest thing I've ever experienced and I'm happy that you had a happy ending in this.  Good luck to you!

Congrats. But seriously THIS. After two loses, I really can't understand the medical reasoning of your doctor. I cannot fathom a properly diagnosed misciarrage with an actual viable pregnancy.something seriously doesn't add up here. As in, lawsuit worthy doesn't add up. Many women would have had a d&c before this point. I've never met you but am furious this could happen with your doctor. That is NOT a normal mistake. If I were you I'd be getting medical records and calling a lawyer.
