Trouble TTC

A new tip for getting KU...

Over the weekend I went to a pre-Easter party at my cousin's house. His wife had years of IF struggles with failed IVF cycles and m/c after m/c. Her and my cousin ended up going the surrogate route who ended up carrying triplet girls...and then she got pregnant on her own and carried full term so the girls are only 8months older than their brother. Anywho, long story short...at the party, I'm sitting there talking to my Uncle (my cousin's dad who lives with them). He says he heard through the grapevine I'm trying to have a baby and taking some kind of shots. I was a little taken aback since my cousin's wife is the only way he'd find out about that. Well, I confirmed(not sure what else to do at that point), and he says," forget the drugs just do like your cousins did and hire a surrogate then you'll get pregnant on your own for sure!! Hmmm...well I may be new to all this but those triplets are biologically my cousin's children soooo she still had to take something to get those eggies out and in the surrogate right??? LOL . I love my family but sometimes I'm like...really?!?! Plus, while the triplets and they're brother are the little miracles of the family, I'd be happy with just one miracle not FOUR!!! LOL oh geez Sorry for spelling or punctuation, etc since I'm typing this on my phone :)

  • Don't you love unsolicited advice?

And the idea of four infants in the same year makes me want to take some bcp.

I think she means the surrogate and the bio mom were concurrently pregnant.

  • Okay, I now have my plan. Screw this RE nonsense. I am going to hire a surrogate, adopt a child or two while I deeply relax on a cruise, and get drunk with my high school boyfriend. In the back of a pickup. Also while on the cruise, relaxing my ass off. And THEN I will finally be pregnant. It is all so EASY.

    4 IUIs: Bfn
    Antagonist IVF 7 retrieved, 4 fert w/ICSI&AH, 2 blasts transferred. Beta #1 9/20: 367 Beta #2 9/22: 841

  • I think I want to write a book. I'll call it, "How to get KU: An instructional guide to making babies" I'm almost(almost) amused by the thing people come up with and think work!!
