Finally Joining!

I have been a Bump lurker for years. My husband and I decided to stop all forms of birth control when we got married in September 2009. We did not obsess with getting pregnant until late 2010 when we worried that something was wrong because it had been over a year. My OBGYN at the time was not much help so I decided to change doctors. My new doctor found that I was not ovulating in a normal amount of time so she suggested that I begin using the pee sticks and charting. By late 2011 she had me do 3 cycles of Clomid, all of which failed, she then had me wait a few months and try 2 more cycles of higher dose Clomid. On February 24th I had my annual exam and was told that I needed to seek the help of a fertility specialist. I was devestated! I made an appointment for April 10th, filled out all the paper work, got authorization with my insurance company, and drove around and collected all of our medical records.

Last week I had random nosebleeds, nasuea, ect. I went to my primary care doctor on Friday and was told that I have allergies and a 48 hour virus and I needed to rest. I slept all weekend and still felt crappy. Yesterday morning I woke up and felt the worse and my boobs were sore. I decided to take a pregnancy test since my period was due soon. I took the test, grabbed breakfast and went back and saw the work 'pregnant'. I couldn't believe it! I was sure it would say 'not pregnant' and I'd go on feeling crappy from this '48 hour virus'.

My husband and I are beyond thrilled. We are going to try to wait until after our 1st appointment to tell anyone. Our first appointment is May 10th which is between 9-10 weeks. At that time we will get a sonogram. According to the Bump, my due date should be 12/6.
