Registry Question

My MIL is really sweet.  She keeps telling us that there's not enough on our registries.  We have 30 items on one and 23 on the other.  I really can't think of what else we'd need.  Can you recommend something (if we need to have it)?

I have about the same amount. I did put a bouncy seat and floor activity mat. I felt like most other toys people would just pick up what they wanted to get me. I just took the Babies R Us list. Their's is a lot more detailed than what I selected, but was a great starting point.

Thanks, I was able to add a couple of things.  Unfortunately the things we have left to add are all on the expensive side (  I also figured a lot of people would get what they want in terms of swaddlers and clothes.  We didn't find out the sex, so it's hard to register for specific items.

Baby Shampoo, baby body wash, baby lotion, baby sunblock, cloth friendly diaper cream, sippy cups, kids plastic silverware, gerber cloth diapers(use as burp cloths though), baby carrier...like a moby, extra car seat base, bottles, etc....

Multi-Use Pads--Baby will spit up, so this is good to have under the baby when baby is sleeping in cradle or crib.  As well, I use these pads to change baby's diaper if he is in the crib or on a changing pad cover in case baby is really messy while changing baby's diaper.

Bumkins Superbibs--baby is a little messy when baby starts to eat baby food.  This bib worked the best for us.

 

Baby Socks--I put more socks on my son for the first couple of months.

I put everything that I would need for baby on my registry. Granted, I created it as a list for us so we could use the 10% discount later, but then a month after I created it - I found out I'm actually getting a secret shower! I just left it as is. 

  Whatever doesn't get purchased - I still have an organized list of what I need to get. We've purchased a few items off the list that we thought people really shouldn't buy our baby, like the mattress and a bunch of other items.

 

Here are some of the things we have on there: 

all things for bath time including some toys

lotions/creams/ointments

nipples/bottles/cleaners

breast pump/breast milk storage bottles

blankets/sheets/receiving blankets/burp cloths

I found this adorable mini bag for baby's first overnight, it's like mini diaper bag

Is the list you gave the things that you have included? 

 What about bottles, pump, bf accessories if you are planning to bf. 

Bouncer, swing, or both - something to entertain and contain your little one while you do quick household things, shower, etc. 

Activity gym, teethers or small toys. 

Sleep sheep, sound spa, or other white noise maker

Thermometer

Miracle blanket or other swaddlers, Aden & Anais swaddle blankets if you plan to swaddle

Diaper Bag

Stroller Accessories if they don't come with stroller - Cup holders etc

Just some things that I have on my registry that we definitely plan on getting if we do not receive them at our showers.
