Success after IF

Another question, this time regarding $$$.

Ok, this is my first time doing IUI so please bare with me.

The cost of it (ultrasounds, sperm wash and u/s) is $1000 which we need to pay up front on cd 5. My question is, what happens with that money if I don't respond to Clomid and the IUI ends up being cancelled? It doesn't just "go away", does it?

The cost of Clomid with monitoring is $500 so it looks like the IUI alone is $500 itself, so do we get $500 credited to us?

I realize this is a question I should ask them (which I will in the morning) but I was just wondering if you guys have had experience with this.

TTC#1=Feb 2009: 50 mg Clomid+Ovidrel shot+Metformin+Dexamethasone+TI=BFP!

Re: Another question, this time regarding $$$.

  • My first IUI cycle was canceled before trigger -- I overstimmed and we shut it down. Like you, it was a package we had paid for in full at the start of the cycle. If I remember right, we didn't technically get that money handed back to us, but they just applied it to our next cycle.

Good luck! I hope this IUI is successful so you're not even wondering about credits and refunds!

After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!

    Ditto!

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
