I do not automatically think of Shrek. It isn't really a terrible association anyway though.

No, and it's been what, 3 years since a movie came out? It's not like you're naming her Cinderella, where the name ahs always been associated with a fairy tale...
I do... we have friends that named their DD Fiona and it took me a long time to not just be like "ugh... shrek" every time I heard the time. It's just NMS.
I do, but only because that's one of the names we were considering until someone pointed that out. Now every time I see it it's automatically what I think (which is why we took the name off our list).
I don't at all. This has been my favorite name ever since I read The Giver when I was a kid. I know some people do make that association, but I wouldn't let that affect your decision. It's a beautiful name!
I don't automatically think of Shrek. Actually, the family dog has that name, and she was named before Shrek even came out the first time, and we named her after a character in Brigadoon (great musical, BTW, if you're into that). I think it's a beautiful name and if we didn't have a dog named that I would seriously consider it for a future daughter of my own.

I do think of Shrek, but I still like the name.
