Is that an automatic trip to the doctor for you? My 3yo DS woke up last night with a cough and was screaming his head off about various things (wanting water, juice, etc.), complaining about his cough being not good and later on saying his ear hurt. He got so worked up, he puked (I am about 99.8% sure this was from him being overwrought). No fever and the cough was not really that bad, frankly. This morning he woke up and was great, ate a big breakfast, super active, jumping on the bed. I asked how he felt and he said he was great. I took my kids to Target this morning and pulled in to feed my 7 month old. And DS started crying about not wanting me to feed him (he does do this sometimes when he wants to get someplace) and then started saying his ear hurt. I asked him a few times about it and he comfirmed that it hurt, but he is now saying it doesn't hurt (maybe because I mentioned going to the dr?)
Here's the thing - A. he is going to freak if we go to the doctor. He HATES the doctor and it involves a lot of screaming and kicking. We have crappy insurance and a sick visit costs me $130. OBVIOUSLY, if he is sick I'm going to take him, but these two things combined mean I give it some consideration before we make an appointment. WDYT?
