When can I take a bath?

When can you take a bath or get in a hot tub post C-section? All my staples and steri-strips are out/gone. I am 2 1/2 weeks PP.

I was told to wait until my 8 week pp check when the doc could check my incision and clear me completely.  But of course all docs are different..

I got the okay at my 6 week pp visit.

I had to wait until 6 weeks and got the all clear from my doctor - and let me tell you I am a bath girl so it was a long 6 weeks for me!

I took a few soaks (without soap) to help get my steri-strips off around 2-3 weeks postpartum. I'd wait the full 6-8 weeks for a hot tub.
