I wanted to pick up a few nursing tanks to have for after the baby is born but don't know what size I would get, like should I just get the size I wore pre-pregnancy or a size up from what I normally wore or what fits now?
I've been wondering this too- I've seen some good sales and want to take advantage! I was pretty small before I got pregnant and am about a B/C cup now, but I have no idea how big they'll get when my milk comes in.
Pre-pregnancy I was a small/medium (but on the smaller size).
I registered for medium tanks--not expecting someone to buy them, but so I get a discount and don't forget to get them when LO arrives.
I would go a size up from where you were pre-preg--looser being better and not so uncomfortable. you will probably need to buy several as you continue to nurse as you will loose weight and your milk supply will stablize, so maybe just buy two...one that is your pre-preg size and one a size up, so that you will be covered.

Just my two cents$$.
Thanks! I had been wondering as well - I plan to have one or two in my hospital bag - I prefer to be more rather than less covered when attempting to nurse, even at the hospital.
i have 2 bravado original nursing bras that i got 2 weeks ago for one reason that they accomadate fluctuating sizes very well.. i want to buy 2 bravado nursing tanks but holding out till the baby arrives coz they are costly and dont want to waste money in case my size changes. but i saw on bravado website or some other place that if u order in your third tri u should order one cup size up .
Pre-DS pg: I was a small (34 A cup) but during PG my rib cage spread a lot so that during pg I was wearing a 36 or 38 B/C cup. For the few couple wks I wore a med/lrg in the target tanks ( the non-maternity ones, due to my belly wasnt down yet and engorement)
Then it took a few months before my rib cage (and the weight) went down so I mainly wore mediums.
Towards the 1 year mark I wore the meds and smalls.
Note: As a creature of comfort I like them to be a little bigger. For this pg i have a med- nursing/maternity tank since it will accomidate the larger post pg-belly for the first couple wks
I would go with a slighlty large size than prepg - expessially if your rib cage has spread.

Keep an eye on babysteals.com, they sometimes have Bravado nursing tanks as a a steal for about half price. You may also look on Kidcrawl, which is babysteals' place to buy and sell previous steals. I just picked up two more Bravado nursing tanks for $24.99 each. I love those tanks. With DS I had to wear a bra 24-7 for the 4 months I BF, because I leaked so bad and had to have nursing pads in. None of the nursing tanks I found would work for that purpose. But I am certain the Bravado ones will! They are so comfy!

I was an XS before I had DS, so I figured a size S would be great for afterward. The S was fine for the first couple weeks, but as soon as most of the swelling (I had to have a c-section) went down and some of the baby weight came off, I could have worn an XS, so it made wearing the size S uncomfortable - because I couldn't wear them as regular shirts or underneath a tighter fitting shirt (because it was too loose). I didn't lose all my baby weight right away - I just think that they make them a little bit bigger to begin with. This time, I am going to buy a couple XS tanks and know that the first couple weeks they might not fit great, but I'll be happier with them for the next several months.

I'm in between sizes and I ordered up. I figured cotton tanks shrink. It was the right call for me.

Good to know. I've been wondering about this as well.

Or pack both?
