I went overboard at Christmas and DH and I agreed we would keep better track of stuff this year. Well, just sized up the kids' Easter baskets and uh, oops. Good news: about 90-95% of it are necessities/practical items like toothbrushes, gardening stuff, hat, headbands, bigger nightgowns, beach towel and the like. Bad news: I probably ought to start doling some stuff out like the nightgowns at other times of the year, lest the Easter bunny throw out his back.

Re: Okay, I have a problem
haha yes - I went a little nutso at Christmas, so I really did scale it back for Easter. the problem is that I don't wnat to give DD all candy either (and I don't want to give DH all candy either)
I bought their stuff this weekend. the things that are true necessities (swim googles, new water shoes, etc.) I'm not counting and not giving from the Easter bunny. The small things - hair bows, nailpolish, some candy, HUGE box of crayons, 3 new books - will be from the Easter bunny.
