So this morning I had cd6 monitoring after three days of 75ui of Gonal F. While I still have 15 visable egg follicles, thankfully only four are measurable. On the right I have an 11 and 10.5, on the left I have an 11 and a 7.5 I go back in on Wednesday and they assume again on Friday to see if I'm ready to trigger. Meaning IUI would be Easter at their office that's in Chicago (meaning a very early hour long drive for Sunday).
The other odd bit of news, the nurse said things were growing well but need to "keep a fire burning under them" so I needed to keep with the same level of meds. Well, because of meds donated from Jezebell - I have one dose left of gonal F and five vials of Menapur. But Menapur is FSH & LH, where as Gonal F is just FSH - which is what they want me on. So they asked me to trade. (Huh?) They gave me a Follistim pen of 300ui (FSH, same as Gonal F) but in exchange they want me to bring in the Menapur in as a trade. OK. Odd - but whatever.
Thankfully, I forgot that for some reason this U/S costs less than the one they do on cd3, and b/w they only tested FSH, not all the others they do on cd3. So instead of the bill being $462 like it was on Friday - it was "only" $228. I get cheap thrills now a days from lower than expected bills. So sad.
Re: CD6 monitoring; IUI possibly on Easter
Yay for 3-4 runners
I hope they keep going in the right direction.
But just be forewarned it may not. I started my low dose Follistim cycle with 5 (I think, or 6) measurable follies on cd 6 and ended up with 2 at the end. So disappointing.
And woohooo for cheaper apt! I would be excited, too.. LOL!

My office is open 365 days a year, including Christmas, Easter, 4th of July and all holidays. I actually find it odd when offices are closed since you can't exactly perfectly time a woman's cycle.

There are actually like eight offices under the FCI name in Chicagoland, but each has it's own RE. But they share duties on weekends and holiday's. So I would be going to an office I've never been to before. But yes, it's good they have the option so that if timing is unfortunate, there is still one place to go. I think they all take turns so no one has to work several holiday's a year.
IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)

My Blog
My clinic will open special if someone's timing demands it. Sometimes I feel sorry for the people who work there and have to randomly come in on a weekend or holiday, but that is the nature of the beast I suppose.
Good luck on your follies! I hope this is works for you, Easter or no Easter!
That sounds like a great appt!! Congrats on the good numbers. I hope you end up with some quality follies! I just wanted to add that two of my iuis fell on a weekend (my clinic is closed on the weekend, do I had to make the long drive to dc office) I was scared of a new clinic, new dr, etc but everything went great! The iui was even less painful than my regular doc. My only advice is to leave REALLY early so if you make a wrong turn or two time won't be stressing you.
GL!
Yayy for an IUI on Easter! Your H's sperm can go on an egg hunt!!
Glad things are progressing and hopefully they'll continue!
