BETA is in......

it's positive!!!  OMG!  My beta @ 8dp5dt is 27.  A little low, but my RE said it's a positive.  I go back Wednesday to see if it's doubled.

What do you think about 27?  My RE didn't seem concerned, but I worry that it's low........

several failed cycles on clomid and lose dose injectibles, IUI #1 2009 - BFN IUI #2 2009 - BFP - boy/girl twins born at 31 weeks. IVF #1= BFN; FET #1 = c/p; FET #2 = c/p, FET #3 = negative, FET #4 = positive, baby stillborn at 24 weeks.

    Congrats!  I wouldn't worry about the starting number.  The most important thing is that it rises appropriately.  Good luck!

    Congrats! Hopefully the numbers will double with your next beta and that is all that matters!

    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
    My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

    All Betas have to start somewhere!  Congrats!

    Congrats I think that number is just fine as long as it doubles!!  
    dx'd with severe endo and poor egg quality 3 IUIs were all BFN IVF #1 = c/p IVF #2 = BFN IVF #3 = beautiful baby girl born 2/2011; 8/2011 Surprise BFP - natural m/c at 8w; TTC #2 2011-2012; 2 IUIs = BFN; IVF #1 = BFP 9dp5dt beta = 328; 11dp5dt = 650; 13dp5dt = 1114; 18dp5dt = 4747 BabyFetus Ticker

    Congrats!  My RE was shooting for around 100 at 14dpo so 27 might be considered a bit low but we all know it's the doubling that matters and not the initial number so fingers crossed for a great second beta.

    Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

    Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

    I wouldn't worry about the number but whether it doubles.  Congratulations!!
    After 2 years and 6 IUIs, we did it with IVF w/ ICSI!
    BFP with no treatment!

    Congratulations. My good friend had a first beta that was that low, and she was pregnant with twins.

    My #1 daughter was a 16 for first beta, my #2 was a 20!  You have to start somewhere!

    Yay!!!!   Congratulations!!!   Anna's beta at the same point (10dp3dt) was 26, so I think it is a great number!!!   So happy for you!

    Thanks everyone!  I hate reading so much into numbers!! 

    I'm never using $$ tree tests again.  The negatives really bummed me out this weekend.  I should've known better.  Is it odd that I want to run out and buy a FRER or a digital?  I need more confirmation for some silly reason. 

    More waiting for Wednesday ..... 

    But for now, feeling very blessed!

    If your RE isn't concerned then I wouldn't be either.  Mine at 7dp5dt was 21.
