Tandem stroller ? w/ toddlers

I have a graco duo glider that I use for shopping, errands, etc.  Lately whoever is sitting in the back seat has been kicking the front seat and its becoming an issue for whoever is riding in front.  Do you have any tips to get them to stop kicking the seat?  I have tried firmly telling them to stop and that hasn't been working well.  I also have a BOB stroller that they do well in but it's a lot bulkier to take on quick errands.  I was thinking about getting a lightweight SBS stroller but DH isn't really thrilled about getting another stroller right now.  Also, how long did your kids use a stroller?  TIA!

We used ours quite a bit until our boys were 2.5. It seemed like a lot of my MoM friends didn't use it much after their twins turned 2 but one of my boys had delays and sensory issues so for us it was helpful to use the stroller longer. We had the kicking issue with the Duoglider too, though one boy was better about it so I usually put him in back. 95% of the time I used the City Mini instead of the DuoGlider though; I found it a lot easier unless I was someplace w/really narrow aisles or needed a big storage basket. I think getting a City Micro or Combi Twin Sport or something might be worthwhile for you at this point.

We have a DuoGlider and haven't used it in probably almost a year because of this same problem.  I bought a SBS off of ebay (that also steers waaaay easier and is generally much easier to push than the DuoGlider was anyway).  My husband did not love the idea of getting another stroller but now that we did, he totally gets it and is happy we did.  My boys just turned 2 and I see us using the stroller for awhile longer, they are so much happier in the SBS than they were in the DuoGlider so I can see us using it longer because of that.
