Late Term and Child Loss

Advice for TTC Again?

My background: After 2 years of TTC unsuccessfully we went through IVF and successfully got pregnant. DH & I lost our twin son and daughter at 18 weeks on 1/1/12.

I am about to have a frozen embryo transfer (next week) and I was just wondering if there was any advice any of you have to pass along to me. I'm worried that I may lose it in the 2WW. This is our first time trying to conceive again after our devastating loss.

Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Just listen to your heart. When you know you are ready, you are ready. It isn't easy being pg again... but so worth it in the end.

  • I'm so sorry for your loss.  We lost our daughter at 21w in September and then I had a missed m/c in January.  There's nothing that can ease your mind about the 2www.  Nothing that will ease your mind throughout your pregnancy.  But you will make it because you're stronger because of what you've been through.  Take it one day at a time.  ((hugs))

  • All I can say is that the 2ww is maddening. And SO disappointing if AF shows up. I'm in in now, and already trying to prepare myself for failure :( I just can't get hopeful; it hurts too much.
