The Hunger Games (N3TR) **possible spoilers**

Ok, I don't want to give any spoilers, so how can I talk about this without giving away too much. I read the books a couple weekends ago and saw the movie today. I am totally Team Peeta and have been since half way through book one. But the movie left me feeling Blah. They did a good job, but didn't play up the "feelings" between them like the book. Also, the end of the movie was totally bland. I did cry when she left Primm and the thing with Rue and District 11. Still, what are your thoughs??

    I loved it! I thought they did a pretty good job of sticking to the book (although it's been 1.5 years since I read the book). The only thing I really caught was the mocking jay pin was suppose to come from the mayor's daughter but I understand why they changed it for the movie. 

    I think they needed to put more emphasis on Katniss "playing" him to win. 

    But overall, I LOVED it. They're making the other two, right??

    I'm reading the books this summer. This is the first time I've ever seen a movie before reading the book. I liked the movie and can't wait to read the whole series!

    I def agree, the movie was blah.  I did just read the book last weekend in 2 days, and am already halfway threw the second so idk if that's why?  I wish they would have had Katniss narrate the entire movie, I think it would have been so much better!  I'm an analyzer so if I would have watched it without reading the book, there would have been so many unanswered questions & I probably would have hated it.  I don't understand why they changed the pin to be from The Hob rather than Madge, because doesn't the story come full circle in Catching Fire?  Are they just going to completely leave that out?  And what about the pack of mutations being the dead tributes?  I can't believe they changed that detail!

    I thought the movie was good, but I think all the hype beforehand made us think they were going to perfom some kind of Hollywood miracle on it.

    There was a lot of stuff to cover in just 2.5 hours.  Of course I felt like they left some important stuff out, but I thought the acting was great and the action parts were great.

    DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)
    5 hysteroscopies/2 surgical
    3 Inject IUIs = 2 m/c's and 1 BFN
    IVF #1= BFP. m/c at 7w6d. Needed 2 D&C's and scar tissue removal. Mild OHSS
    IVF #2 = BFP. Severe OHSS. 4 Drainings. TWINS!

    Ahhh! My computer went nutso again. Yes, they are making the other two into movies as well.

    I also read the books the weekend before I saw the movie so that might be why it was so fresh in my mind.

    As for the pin, they should have played it up a little more considering the signifcance later.
