april fools fb pregnancies

one of my friends posted a bfp yesterday at 10pm..of course they have already come clean about it being an april fools joke.....does the fake april fools days pregnancies that seem to always happen every year drive anyone else as crazy as they do me?

last year i had someone posting a fake ultrasound this year it was someone posting a positive pregnancy test pic and all (of course was quickly debunked as they used the first pic you found when you googled positive pregnancy test) i think last year i had at least 2-3 fake pregnancies on fb

It really annoys me because they don't understand how hard it is for some people to see BFP when they have (or are) struggling to have a baby!

i JUST saw one of those from a college friend on Facebook.

the thing is, i don't even get what's supposed to be funny about it. seems like kind of an immature joke.

This for me as well.  I've never had one of those April fool's announcements show up in my newsfeed, fortunately.

I haven't seen any on my fb news feed, thankfully. It was bad enough seeing those weeks / cravings posts awhile back for the breast cancer "support". And even then I had been lucky enough that the first post was obviously fake.

Thankfully I don't have any friends who have ever done that, but I do "like" a WAHM who did that this morning.  There was a bit of humor in that her husband has been away for an extended period (and no ART involved!), but that slight wink on her end doesn't take away from that potential punch in the gut that one can feel in reading it.

I have had two and really why do that, I just dont get it.  One came frome someone who struggled for years ended in divorce from her first husband from IF and how much strain it put on their marriage and then after years with her 2nd DH she ended up with a huge suprise BFP.  She was really the last person I thought I would see one from of April fools.  A ton of her friends were actually congratulating her thinking she was for real, and she had to tell them.

Yup. Just saw one.  It was a pic of a digital HPT that when you zoomed in very close, it said "Just Kidding."  Apparently, the woman sent it to her DH and he had trouble reading it.  Then her DH posted about how he almost had a heart attack and how funny it was sooo funny.  Then several other people posted about how funny it was. THey have 4 beautiful kids and I'm pretty sure never struggled with IF or a loss. 

I mean, this isn't even like people sharing a pregnancy or sharing a "joy"...this is making a joke out of it.  I guess they've never stared at negative test after negative test, praying it would be positive or even wanted a test to be positive so bad that they would even imagine lines.  It just seems so insensitive to me. This seems like something a high school kids would come up with so I'm really disapointed to see a couple in their mid 30's posting something like this.  They have to be aware of the many people struggling with IF and pregnancy loss.

There is a girl I went to high school with that posted "...birth control is supposed to prevent this..." with a picture of 3 positive tests.  She is still swearing it is not a joke, but I have no idea.  Either way....

You know what else is annoying? DH's best friend and his wife getting pregnant the first month off the pill and her posting about morning sickness every. single. damn. day. Oh, she's 6 weeks to the day. Yeah. Lovely. Grr.

Sounds like someone needs to be blocked!

I had several yesterday, some were obvious some weren't, luckily I'm pretty good at spotting them.  I don't think it's funny, IF aside I guess I don't get what's funny about a logos your friends congratulating you only to say "gotcha".  I also had a few fake engagements, which I find equally not as funny.
