maybe just IVF stress but today is also the 10th anniversay of my Dad passing, and also his birthday, he would have been 73.
DH got some help to work in the backyard and then left for a client and came back 5 hours later. I was trapped at home and could not leave as this guy was working in the back.
I need to go out to a dinner with DH bachelor friends, one of which has a girlfriend at least, but they are all close to 50, single and talk about VERY inappropriate things all the time and in public. I am no prude but I hate hearing about certain topics and in public! I get stressed before each time we go out, and I know that it is hitting me now.
Just a bad day. Happy Birthday Dad!

I am so sorry you are having a bad day! I agree with the pp, I do not think anyone ever gets over the loss of a loved one. It has been 15 yrs since my brother died and my heart still aches, especially on birthday's and holidays, etc.

Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

Aww Roxie - huge hugs! So sorry you're having a rough day. I hope you're able to recall some nice memories of your dad today - I know thats what helps me on my dad's bday and passing anniversary. Happy birthday to your dad.

I am so sorry that you are having such a rough day. I hope that you can do something special for your Dad today- perhaps a little birthday cake and looking through some pictures. The loss of a parent is profound, and only seems to feel worse when you are going through your own personal crisis where you find yourself needing that person desperately.

Severe MFI. Me: supposedly all clear but eggs showed vacuoles.
IVF #1 January 2012, ER Jan 14th: 34R, 27M, 23F. Day 3: 18 embies still strong. Day 5: zero "good," one "fair," the rest "poor." Transferred 3. None made it to blast or to freeze. Jan 28: BFN.
Lucky IVF #2: Transferred two beautiful day three embies on St. Patrick's Day. BFP on HPT 7dp3dt. Beta 1 (14dpER)=106; Beta 2 (16dpER)=140; Beta 3 (19dpER)=264! First u/s 4.17.
