MeiTai users

I have a babyhawk meitai.  It worked great when DS was smaller, he's at a stage now where it seems he's too big to froggy his legs...but spreading them is too wide and uncomfortable.

Any suggestions?  He's 4 months and on the larger size.

  • Spreading his legs really isn't uncomfortable for him. Babies are wicked flexible. Position him so they hit at your waist and give it a go.

  • I froggy one leg and stretch out the other. That seems to work best for us right now. If she starts to get uncomfortable, I can switch the legs.

  • I am so glad you asked this question. I have the same wrap and the same issue. My LO has the shortest legs but around four months he would stand up in the wrap if I froggied him. At the same time, he seemed uncomfortable with a straddle position.

We switched to using the moby as a hip carry for a while but I'm hopeful that using some of these suggestions we can go back to the Mei Tai
