Mattress elevation

We needed to elevate DD's mattress bc she has a little acid reflux. We put a folded towel underneath which seemed to be an ok height.  We put her in the crib long ways, obviously, but now she seems to roll and turn completely side to side during the night.  I'm wondering what else we could use to elevate, thinking maybe the towel is now working too well.  What do/did you use? TIA

Re: Mattress elevation

  • I bought a wedge that is meant to go under the sheet on your crib matterss for this purpose.  It was like $20 and I ordered from BRU.

  • Do you put things on her sides to keep her from moving? We roll up a towel and place one on each side. Keeps her put.
  • Ditto to pp. We use a rolled blanket to keep him in place.

  • we also use the foam crib wedge. got it at a children's consignment store for $5!!  washed it really good, put it under the sheet, and he was good to go!
  • I could have written this post! We did the same thing last night & she ended up at the bottom of the "hill". It wasn't high at all. We did 2 towels, so I took the bigger one out & she still seemed to move. We swaddle so I guess she's kicking her legs up & down & ends up sliding down. I'm not sure if the wedge would work either.

We might try holding her in place with towels.

  • Our baby sleeps so much nicer now that she's elevated too.
