XP: back from surgery (long and maybe a little TMI)

Hello all, I know it's been a while since I posted, but I figured I would give you an update. Had surgery on Monday.  The thought I had about 8-10 fibroids and wanted to check out the ovarian cysts as well.  Based on all this had to be myomectomy, so open incision. They found 18 fibroids, removed 4 cysts (1 on each ovary, and 1 on each Fallopian tube near the ovaries) as well as some endometriosis; at least one of my ovaries was stuck to my uterus with endometrial tissue.I am  feeling better than I did on Monday, but healing is slow going.  Still sleep several times a day, uncomfortably, and panicky over that elusive first BM.  Out of work for the next 5 weeks, so I should be able to at least check once a day before I go back to work and get overwhelmed.Follow up with surgeon is in 10 days.  Have to wait 3-4 months before I can do IVF #1, so if all heals up properly and there are no unforeseen issues, we are looking at August. That's it for now.  Happy to answer any questions. 
Us: 39(me)/41(he). TTC since April '11. DOR/MFI. March '12: surgery to remove fibroids, cysts, and endometriosis.
IVF #1: 9/13/12. ER: 9/25. 3R, 2M, 1F. ET: 9/28 (1-6B). Beta: moved from 10/11 to 10/10: BFN.
IVF #2: 11/12 cycle postponed due to Sandy and then cancelled due to elevated E2.
IVF #2.1 cancelled due to cyst.
IVF #2.2: 2/2/13. Converted to IUI. BFN
IVF #3.0: 3/2014. BCP & Microdose Lupron.  Cycle cancelled due to poor response.
IVF #4.0: 2/2015. EPP @ new RE. ER: 3/8. 3R, 3M, 1F. ET: 3/11 (1-8cell). 3/23 Beta: 16.9. 3/25 Beta: 71.6. 3/27 Beta: 300. 3/29 Beta: 800 3/31 Beta: 1816. 4/1 Beta: 4342. m/c at 6w2d. Goodbye little one. I loved you already.

    Fingers crossed that this surgery gives you a clean slate for your IVF.  Get plenty of rest, and I hope you feel better soon.

    Wow, that is a lot of fibroids and other crap to get out of there. Glad you are on the mend but I'm sure it will be slow going for a while. Wishing you a speedy recovery;-)

    Thank you all. I was a little incredulous at first about what all he reported after (18!?!?!). In the end, I am glad that I had it done instead of trying to patch and then finding out that I had to stop because of something else.

    Definitely hope so.  Trying not to be neurotic and worry about any future issues b/c of it. Right now I am cautiously optimistic.
