This IUI will cost us more, great.

So RE's office just called back re: when to start injects due to Easter and timing.  Instead of how I'm used to (coming in on cd11 or12 on clomid or last time clomid and two injects of 75ui of Gonal F).  

This time he wants me to start Gonal F tonight for three nights and come back in already on Monday.  Ugh, this gonna cost us more this time I think because of at least one more monitoring appointment than usual.


TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD. 
IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN
IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)
IVF w/ICSI Oct. 2, 2012 - 13R, 11M, 7F, 1 frozen blast 4BB grade - - - FET Nov 15, 2013
BFP! Beta 1:104 @ 10dp6dt, Beta 2:178 @ 12dp6dt,  beta 3:366 @ 14dp6dt
Saw heartbeat twice before missed M/C at 8w3d on 12/27/13, missing my little angel boy
JUNE 2014 IVF#2;  5R, 2M, 1F Three day transfer 6/7.  Beta 6/18 - BFN

    I'm sorry Kati! I really hate that this is out of pocket for you and so many others. Hoping this is your cycle!! Good luck with the injects!

    That sucks Sad  I know exactly how you feel- we're OOP also.  This cycle I was only expecting my two monitoring appointments, but my RE switched up the protocol on me with the Clomid stair-stepping so I had to go in on CD12 and CD19 for monitoring.  Each monitoring appointment is $230 so it really adds up over the month.  I just keep trying to think how all of this money we're paying will be worth it one day (hopefully soon!).  Good luck with this cycle!!

    I'm sorry, we are in the same boat. Started injectables last mont and t monitered me like crazy, I got B/W 5x and had 3 u/s and that was all w/in 7 days because i only stimmed for a week. Not onl did it cost a lot more but it looked like I had tract marks on my arm..ugh Good luck this cycle!

    It definitely sucks that you and so many of us are OOP.  I really hope that the change in your stims work this time though!  It will be worth it in the end.

    Thats frustrating and it stinks to pay more when you've taken ssuch a long financial break. Fx for those changes to make this a successful cycle with a nice bfp at the end
