Bagels

I dont know why I am confused by this. But, should the bagels I give Lo be really hard or really soft?  Can I give the whole thing or should I break it into pieces?  Same thing for toast and other bread?

    Soft bread can kind of gum up in their mouths and be a choking risk so it's recommended you toast it.

     

    You could certainly give LO the whole bagel if they can manage holding it and navigating it to the mouth. 

    The rule I follow is everything I give LO is cut into at least steak fry size pieces not much smaller.
