Going home...and grateful.

My dearest ladies,

Words cannot express how grateful I am for all of your support and kindness through this crisis of mine. The good news is that my numbers are looking good, I am off the IV antibiotics, and will be going home today with 2 weeks of oral meds. I have to check in with the hospital on Monday for more bloodwork. TOTALLY okay, if that means I don't have to stay here anymore. blah! (As a side note, however... the Swiss hospital system is amaze-balls. I have never encountered such wonderful healthcare from top to bottom.) 

I am feeling weak, but there is no more pain thank goodness. I got the ball rolling with the doctors to begin discussing with one another about surgery to remove tubes. The chief surgeon still doesnt think laparoscopic surgery is possible for me. He said he will speak to my consult from yesterday so that they can begin making a plan for me. It really is amazing the lengths a woman will travel to have a *chance* to get pregnant. Luckily, they here seem to be no strangers to the mania of infertile women. Looks like they aren't giving up on me. Its just a matter of how much surgery I am willing to take. I guess they don't know who they are dealing with

I fully expect the mourning process of my failed IVF and the and anger with my ever failing body to click in in the next days...but for now, I am grateful that my health is back on track, that I have a husband that loves me, and that I have you all who have been more support for me than you could ever imagine.  

I will still be "in and out" of the board for the next week, but I am here, as ever!

So glad you are feeling better every day, are out of the hospital, and that they took such good care of you. Take care of yourself the next few weeks and the rest will follow.

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. Your spirits seem high despite what you've been through, and sometimes that mindset is what will you pull through (plus having a great support system in your DH)! Sounds like you have some great medical care too. Will continue to keep you in my T&P!

You continue to amaze me. Your outlook on this situation is second to none, you are such a strong woman. I am not sure I would be sounding as you are now, but as you said, sadly the mourning process is ahead of you, and do what you and your DH to get through this.

You know that we are all here for you and I pray for a speedy recovery and the surgeon has a plan for you soon enough.
