I don't know why I am having such a hard time starting our search. I researched everything for hours before DS was born, but now I feel like I don't know how to narrow down our many, many options. I think the "many" part is key. I read on one and have to call it a day. DS still has an inch and a half for length, and 3lbs for weight for now in his infant carrier.

Re: Rec Your Convertible Carseats
We have a Britax Advocate for my car and going to have a Britax Boulevard CS (going to buy it today) for DH car.
I did a ton of research and ended up going with these. They are pricey though, but worth it in my opinion.
Good luck with your search.
We have the same for both of our cars and love them.

We went with the Britax Marathon. When I asked about this, someone posted this link:

Interesting comparison. We looked at both the Britax and Evenflo and obviously went with the Evenflo (I already replied above). One thing I really like about the Evenflo is the ease of adjusting the straps, especially right now during the cool mornings/warm afternoons season. It's easy in the afternoon to quickly turn the dial and strap her tighter than she was in the morning with her coat on.

Three out of our four convertibles are MyRides. Two have been in service for two years now, and we love them.
I have a Cosco Scenera, which I love cause it is only $39, and LO seems to prefer it over any other we've tried so far. My parents traded us an alpha omega (I think made by safety first) for our second Scenera. I hate this seat because its impossible to get installed at the right angle, and lo screams whenever he's in it.
I just ordered a Diono ( formerly Sunshine Kids) Radian and wish I knew about these seats before I bought the other ones. They have a 8 year life, very high RF and FF limits, and you can fit 3 of them across the back seat of most cars. I nanny so fitting 3 across allows me to take the kids to the museum or where ever without buying a new car.
