I've been using disposable wipes for poop but I really want to do all cloth wipes. My question is, if you have to get rid of as much poop as possible before washing the diapers, then how do you do this with wipes? Some of my toddler's poop is quite mushy (sorry TMI) and I'm under the impression that I should treat it just like mushy poop in a cloth diaper. Right? Wrong?
Most of the time all that is left on my cloth wipes are smears of poop, nothing solid. If by chance there is anything solid I just swish in the toilet when I'm swishing the diaper.

I don't do anything to the wipes. My washing machine takes care of it all!
