Is there a growth spurt at 10 months?

My little guy has almost cried none stop for two days now.  He just wants to be held constantly and just seems uncomfortable.  I think we were going through some serious teething earlier in the week because he was running a low grade fever and sleeping alot.  But now the fever is gone and he is just not happy and my STTN baby is getting up at least once a night.  Which is so out of character for him. I have talked to our pedi and they seem to think its all teeething related and we just have to wait it out.  Please tell me this will pass soon.

  • It will pass soon! :D

Avery seemed to be having a rough time earlier this week with waking and general fussiness. I would give it a few days and see if he comes around.

  • Max has been doing the same thing, but still no new teeth.  He was acting the same way about 2 weeks ago, but nothing.  I am noticing that pajamas that fit him just a few days ago are suddenly a bit snug, so maybe teething and a growth spurt??? Huh?  Either way, I hope all these LOs are happy again soon.
  • Could be some separation anxiety!

At 10 months my STTN baby (who usually goes down really nicely for naps and bedtime) started crying when we'd put her in her crib for bedtime.  We found that the crying happened when we left the room and if we came back in she would stop...  She also started crying in the middle of the night.  I read in a "baby's first year" book that sleeping habits might get messed up around this time as some separation anxiety sets in, so I'm pretty sure that's what is happening with us!  Ugh.  The recommendation was basically to sleep train again!
