Cloth Diapering

Unidentified diaper

imageOkay, so I am clueless here. I bought a lot of pockets and prefold diapers from a mom and she threw in a couple extra diapers just because she was done cding. There is one diaper in there that I am not sure what it is. It looks like a AI2 with removable, snap in inserts. But the outer part is a minky like material on the inside part and appears to be cotton on the outside. It is made very nicely but no label so I assume it is a WAHM diaper. Do you think it is a AI2 or a fitted? I assumed that all AI2s have PUL or TPU and this one does not. It seems to0 bulky to also add a cover though. I tried on DD earlier but she did not wet much and it did not even go through the first insert. I have never used a fitted before that is why I am clueless.

Re: Unidentified diaper

  • Can you PIP?  Some AI2s have hidden layers of PUL, so it may be waterproof and you might not realize.

Lots of fitteds have snap in inserts (like Goodmama), so it's kind of hard to tell with just a written description.

  • I just tried to PIP, I can never get it to work. I will link to my siggy.

  • I think it may be a fitted. A lot of times WAHM fitteds are so absorbent that they need no cover.
