Help, please!! I thought we had decided on the BJCMD but the BJ website says that this stroller is not recommended for jogging or running!! So.... for any moms who actually do jog and/or run with a double, can you please recommend your stroller? Bonus points if your child/children are tall!! Thanks in advance!!
Re: A double jogging stroller than you can actually jog/run with??
There are very few options for real running. The BOB, baby jogger summit xc. For light jogging you could get away with something like the instep. I've seen on craigslist several Dreamer Designs. the company closed in 2009 but they're supposed to be very high-quality joggers, too.
(I decided to go with a good walking stroller - the city elite - and if I ever feel like running with 2 get a fixed-wheel bob off craigslist. )
I'm actually selling one on CL right now! We inherited a BOB that I like better (folds smaller)... but the one that we are selling is a Baby Jobber Twinner II-16. It's an older model but it's great to jog with - super smooth for the kids.
If you're actually going to jog with it, I would recommend a fixed wheel and big tires (16" or 20")
Check your CL - I see the all the time on there!
Just an insight on the BJ City Mini Elite, which I think is the single version of the one you want but it is also not considered a jogging stroller.
My husband and I both run with it and love it. It has a few features we liked better than the bob, including tall seat height. I've noticed that the Bob does not hold tall kids well. Our wheel also locks out if we want it to. It does not have tires that pump up which is a positive and negative feature in my eyes.
Hope that helps!
We have this one and it works great! Way cheaper than a Bob and it comes with the trays, and everything that you have to buy separately with the Bob strollers. I've been using it a lot for almost 2 years now and haven't had any problems with it. It walks and runs great since you can lock and unlock the wheels. Highly recommend it.
