Did you have any pictures taken with the photopass? I am just looking at ours--its $14 for 2 4x6. I am not really interested but I did leave my camera in the hotel the day we were in Hollywood Studios, so I thought I would look. OMG! That's some pictures.
p.s. I like the cabins at wilderness lodge--they do look christmasy!
I would have FB message you (can't at work--where I am) but I hate typing on my phone...
Re: ~Tammy79~
we did a few with Photopass, I haven't looked yet ( I'm afraid to look, lol). But that being we bought every stinking pics that were taken at the restaurants, the qualities are awful, but we like them,so I my not order the ones from photopass.
I love the wilderness lodge, the christmas pics we saw were gorgeous, oh and we did the DVC thing ( gasp, but we found a great deal on it) so that will allow us to stay there next November.
It doesn't look like the quality of these were all that great either but there are I few I adore, shots i missed---Hailey hugging Rapunzel--awww!
My mother bought all the restarurant pics-- in some, we looked down right goofy : )
Haven't thought much more about DVC. We generally go every other year...though I am pushing Nov/Dec 2013 to MH. (MIL want to go too-GAH!) MH birthday is in November and poor thing has a wedding (my brothers) on his birthday this year and the next I want to make him go to Disney--he hates crowds : )
With the military discount Disney offer I would not bother with the DVC honestly, specially if you can also get the dinning discount too.
But for us after adding the amount we paid for this trip it made total sense to do it, and also the fact that we want to go every year.
I heard the crowd during Thanksgiving is awful, but don't tell him that, and you never know, he may really enjoy it,just spend part of the day at the park, and part of the day at the resort. DH and I were not expecting it to be so enjoyable (lol), even with the drive, we thought it was a relaxing vacation.
I'll have to go check photopass later today.
My best friend went this past Thanksgiving and she said it was really busy too! I know they closed the parks when she was there (due to #s) but I heard they did the same while we were there for spring break. IDK for sure though. She said they had got to DHS and went straight to the Toy Story ride but wasn't able to get a FP til 5-6pm.
I think its far from relaxing (maybe its just my crew + in 4 days : ) but LOVE their little faces lighting up. Sadly, the miltary is discount is only for 4 days. We are not military so we'd have to bring my mother or MIL...(i love my mom, mil- she as special treat...)
I'm dreading the Crown for Thanksgiving. We honestly did not go crazy this last trip, and went in the morning to the parks, we would only do 5-6 rides, and go back to the resort afterwards, I also thought there was a lot of people for Spring Break, and it really did not bother me much.
I see in regards to the military Discount, 4 days is definitely not enough. well then maybe look at the DVC again later, while the upfront cost maybe a bit high, I think it's totally worth it specially with a family of 5, which is why we went for it.
Oh and btw, you can purchase DVC points, it's about 40% off from what you get from disney.
here's the website

4 days is the park hopper pass for $138--its a killer deal for those days. I hear you can add a water park day for an addional 27 bucks--which isn't bad. You could get the military discount for hotel longer and just have down days, kwim?
will check it out...might talk to MH aunt too
