Classic Names

I've had my girl name for a long time Lucy but I would like to keep the classic names going.  My son is William but now I need another boy name.  What do you think of these? A family name is Michael which we plan to use a MN.

Sullivan, Emmett, Silas

Any others you have seen or love?

I adore Sullivan. I think it's a strong, attractive, masculine name.

Other "classic" (I really think your taste is more "vintage," since the names you listed haven't been perpetually in style, which is what classic means) names that come to mind are: Byron, Walter, Murray, Gregory, Francis, Donald, Theodore, and Marcus.

I love Emmett. I tend to like older names and I admit they are usually more common.  I love John, James, Joseph, Jacob--too popular even for me, Ethan. Looking at my list I guess I like a lot of J names.

Thank you for you input.  I've loved the name Sullivan for years plus I think Sully is a cute nick name for when he's little.  I've been nervous about it just because of how unique it is.  We are not sharing with our family or friend so your ideas are very helpful!
