I'm down to one pump a day and DS is almost 11 months old. I have a TON of frozen milk, enough to get me through at least the next 2-3 months of daytime feedings and he's only eating 6 oz at daycare. I'm seriously considering dropping my last daytime pumping session. Anyone have any advice....thanks!
Re: Stopping pumping...
I was in your exact same situation when DD was 11 months. She was drinking only 4 to 6oz at daycare and I had a crazy freezer stash built up. I quit pumping then and DD had frozen BM until she was 14 months.
This doesn't happen to everyone, but when I quit pumping my supply tanked. Within 2 weeks I was dried up.
I stopped pumping when DS was about 13 months. I just pumped a little less time at my one session for a couple of days, then stopped altogether. I had one or two uncomfortable days after that as my body adjusted, but it wasn't that bad.
I've continued to nurse morning & evening, as well as some nap-nurses on weekends, and my supply has stayed fine for those sessions. I did, however, finally get my period back the month after I stopped pumping. I think going 12 hours between nursing sessions finally did it.
And my supply does drop slightly right before I get my period but it bounces right back.
Good luck and congrats on making it to a year!
This is what I did as well. I moved that one pumping sessing a half hour later every day until I didn't need it for comfort sake.
Since you are down to one pumping session, it shouldn't be bad. Congrats on making a year!

Can I just say that I'm extremely jealous!!!
When I stopped pumping with D1, I brough my pump for a few days just in case but it was pretty easy to drop that last session.
